HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College baseball team was ranked in the latest d3baseball.com regional rankings, placing seventh in the Mid-Atlantic region. The regional rankings are used when the NCAA selection committee determines at-large bidding in the NCAA Tournament. Winners of each conference tournament receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament while the remaining spots are determined by at-large teams. Rankings are determined by strength of schedule as well as success.

The Fords have won their last five games, including their opening Centennial Conference Tournament matchup with McDaniel on Thursday. In their last three games alone, they hold a +39 run differential.

This season, Haverford went 3-0 against other teams currently ranked in the Mid-Atlantic region. The Fords defeated No. 2 TCNJ (March 31) and No. 4 Johns Hopkins (April 2) just two days apart with Johns Hopkins being a doubleheader sweep.

Haverford will take on the Centennial Conference top-seeded Blue Jays again on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. with the winner advancing to the Centennial Conference Championship. The conference tournament follows a double elimination format, meaning the loser of that game will still have a chance to move on to the championship game if they later defeat the winner of McDaniel/Gettysburg.
