Baseball Receives Votes in Poll for Second Straight Week

d3baseball.com/NCBWA Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. -- The Haverford College baseball team is receiving votes in the latest top 25 poll from d3baseball.com/NCBWA for the second week in a row, announced earlier today as the Centennial Conference champions were getting ready to board the bus to Moosic, Pa. where they will play in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament in the coming days. The Fords went undefeated in the conference postseason, first defeating McDaniel in the opening game and then knocking off Johns Hopkins with two wins against the Blue Jays.

The D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top 25 is voted on by a panel of 25 Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country, and is published weekly. Full members of NCAA Division III are eligible.

Haverford has a 7-2 record this season against teams currently ranked ahead of it in the poll, including a 1-1 record against Mid-Atlantic Regional opponent No. 25 St. John Fisher. The Fords caught fire toward the end of the season and have won their last seven games.

Head coach Dave Beccaria's team is set to start the regional tournament off with a game against UMass Boston on Wednesday at 10 a.m. The double elimination tournament will continue through the week.
