Ballenberg '07 Accepts Coaching Position with Minnesota Twins Organization

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford College Assistant Fitness Center Director, Strength & Conditioning Coach Nat Ballenberg '07 has announced his resignation to accept a minor league developmental coaching position with the Minnesota Twins organization.

Ballenberg will work with the Fort Myers Miracle (A), with an emphasis on performance evaluation and training to enhance player development.

"Haverford has been my home for a long time, and it has been a pleasure to invest my days in such a wonderful place," said Ballenberg. "The Haverford community will always be a part of me, and I have no doubts that I'll never again find a place that resonates so deeply with who I am. In many ways, my heart will always live here."

Ballenberg served a vital role as Assistant Director of Haverford's Fitness Center and Strength and Conditioning program. In this role, he oversaw recreational and wellness programming for all Haverford community members while also coordinating the development and implementation of the strength and conditioning programs for each of Haverford's 23 varsity teams.

In addition to his fitness center and strength & conditioning duties, Ballenberg spent nine seasons on the Haverford College baseball coaching staff as the primary pitching coach.  He oversaw the development of two MLB Draft Picks in that time, including All-American and three-time Centennial Conference Pitcher of the Year, Tommy Bergjans '15 and Stephen Ridings '17. The team captured three Centennial Conference championships in his tenure on the staff.
