The Fords struck first against Dickinson hurler Ethan Hamilton. With two out, Jonny Flieder reached on a throwing error and immediately stole second. Jack Wallis then poked a single into left field for the opening run of the contest.

Dickinson tagged Riley Grohowski for two runs in the second, as Dylan Posencheg delivered a single before an RBI hit by pitch by Ethan Sodl put Dickinson ahead 2-1. A two-out single from Zach Becker pulled Haverford back level in the third, but a fourth-inning rally for Dickinson plated three runs as Posencheg doubled and Sodl singled in the frame as Dickinson took a 5-2 lead.

Pranav Rane walked with the bases loaded in the fifth to pull Haverford back within five, but Dickinson broke things open in the fifth, scoring seven runs on seven hits. Sodl did damage with his bases clearing double to right center as Dickinson was suddenly ahead 12-3 at the end of five.

Dickinson added three more runs in the sixth. Haverford sent Josh Fuller to the hill in game two, and he got into a bit of trouble in the second inning. Derek Smith led off the frame with a triple, and Kim then singled up the middle. After Posencheg punched a single into left center, Kenny Tagliareni singled, plating Posencheg and Ryan Thompson, who had earlier reached on a fielder's choice.

Zach Landry reached on an error, and Curry then singled into left field. After a flyout advanced Landry to third, Rosman added an RBI single that plated Landry for the tying run.

After Andrew Mazzone added an RBI single in the fourth, a big fifth inning proved to doom the Fords. Posencheg again put his stamp on the game with a single, and Kim later scored on a wild pitch with the bases loaded.
