LANCASTER, Pa. – The Centennial Conference has named Juliana Morgan-Trostle of the Haverford College field hockey team its Co-Offensive Player of the Week as releases by the league office Monday afternoon.
Morgan-Trostle collected 12 points from five goals and two assists during Haverford's 2-0 week.
Against host Swarthmore Wednesday she netted a pair of goals to go along with as assist in an 8-1 victory that cemented not only a playoff spot but the third-seed for the league tournament.
In the regular season finale Saturday afternoon against visiting McDaniel, Morgan-Trostle posted three goals and one assist in a 5-2 win that pushed the team's win total to 13, a new high water mark for the program.
Morgan-Trostle shared the weekly offensive honor with Alyssa Thren of Ursinus College.
The Fords (13-4, 8-2 CC) will make only their second conference postseason playoff appearance on the upcoming weekend, having earned their first trip last season. Third-seeded Haverford is slated to play second-seed Johns Hopkins (11-6, 8-2) in a semifinal match-up at approximately 2:40 p.m. Saturday, November 6 at Ursinus in Collegeville, Pa. The championship game for the two semifinal winners is scheduled for Sunday, November 7 at 2 p.m. at the same site.
