Megan Holt '14 Named Player of the Year for Dansk Hockey Union in Denmark

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Megan Holt '14 has been voted the Female Player of the Year for 2015­-16 in the Dansk Hockey Union. The Dansk Hockey Union covers all of the teams in Denmark. Holt plays for Copenhagen Field Hockey Club which is the oldest field hockey club in Denmark. It was established in 1904 and is a highly respected club within Denmark. The player of the year award is voted on by the coaches and captains of all of the teams in the Dansk Hockey Union. Holt is the first non-Danish player to earn this award.

A two-time team captain at Haverford, Holt finished second on the team in both goals (10) and points (23) during her senior season in 2013. She was also twice named to the NFHCA Gladiator by SGI Division III Academic team. During her breakout senior season, Holt scored four game-winning goals which ranks second in school history. Her six career game-winning goals are the seventh most in program history.
