Mason McNulty Named Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Centennial Conference announced on Monday afternoon that Haverford junior attacker Mason McNulty was named the Conference's offensive field hockey player of the week. McNulty, the current Centennial Conference leader in goals and points, tallied two goals including the game winner in a home triumph over Cabrini on Wednesday before finding the back of the cage in the first half in a win at Eastern on Saturday to wrap up the weekly honor.

The plaudit is the first Centennial Conference weekly selection for the Hanover, N.H. product. Haverford has now had at least one player win weekly honors in each of the last nine seasons. McNulty is the first member of the field hockey program to score in the team's first three contests since Alex Waleko '11 tallied in three straight to open up the 2010 campaign.

Behind McNulty's offensive production, The Fords have started the season 3-0, the best start for the program since the 2012 team started 5-0 en route to a 14-5 season and a berth in the Centennial Conference final. McNulty, also a member of the Haverford women's squash program, is a two-time NFHCA Gladiator by SGI Division III Academic Squad selection and earned Centennial Conference Honor Roll honors in her first season of eligbility a season ago.

McNulty and Haverford (3-0) continue the non-conference portion of the schedule with home contests on back to back days. Immaculata comes to Swan Field on Tuesday, September 12 (5:00 p.m) before the Fords welcome Lebanon Valley on Wednesday, September 13 (6:00 p.m.). The team then heads to Rowan on Saturday, September 16 for the penultimate non-conference contest of the schedule with a 12:00 p.m. contest in Glassboro, N.J.
