21 Haverford Field Hockey Student-Athletes Recognized on NFHCA Division III Academic Squad

Full NFHCA Division III Academic Squad Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. -  A total of 19 Haverford College field hockey student-athletes were named to the 2023 NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad, the organization announced in a release on Wednesday morning. In total, 1,783 student-athletes hailing from 154 institutions earned a place on the 2023 Division III National Academic Squad.

The NFHCA National Academic Squad program, sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, celebrates the academic excellence of undergraduate collegiate student-athletes. This prestigious recognition is bestowed upon individuals who have attained a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher through the fall semester of the current academic year, and who have been nominated by their dedicated NFHCA member coaches.

Earning the award for the Fords in 2023 were: Brynn Bickel, Anna Bradley, Amelia Bredbenner, Louisa Coughlin, Allison Cubell, Zora Dallmann, Lindsey Darby, Zoey Despines, Kendall Fleet, Clare Fleming, Caroline Frost, Anna Keneally, Amy Kim, Vy Le, Rachel MarlinMargaret Martin, Erica Pardón, Ileana Rodriguez, Abigail Trapp, Holly Vincent and Naomi York.

Bradley, Cubell, Dalmann and Fleming were among 291 Division III student-athletes to make the list for the fourth time in their collegiate careers, marking them as perennial honorees who have consistently demonstrated outstanding academic achievements throughout their undergraduate journey.

Three prestigious Division III academic awards are yet to be unveiled  — the NFHCA Scholars of Distinction will be announced on February 19, the NFHCA National Academic Team awards on February 21, and concluding with the announcement of the National Scholar-Athlete on February 26.
