Haverford pair sweep Centennial weekly awards in men's lacrosse

LANCASTER, Pa. – Junior Travis Gregory and sophomore Dillon Hamill swept the Centennial Conference's weekly awards in men's lacrosse that were announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

Gregory earned his Co-Offensive Player of the Week accolade after tallying game-winning goals in both of Haverford's overtime victories in it's 2-0 week. Against host Ursinus Wednesday evening Gregory scored three times — including the game-tying goal late in the fourth period — and added his fourth to win the game in the second overtime period. On Saturday against visiting Franklin & Marshall the Haverford midfielder wasted little time in sending the Fords to victory with an overtime goal 98 seconds into extra time.

For the week Gregory totaled five goals and one assist and picked up six ground balls. He shared the Player of the Week honor with Swarthmore's Tyler Bradshaw.

Defender Dillon Hamill added to his league-leading total of 35 caused turnovers with eight, four in each, in the Fords' two victories. Against F&M Hamill registered a pair of caused turovers in the 98 second overtime period with the second leading to the game-winning goal by Gregory. He added a goal of his own in the win at Ursinus along with picking up an assist on Saturday.
