Men's lacrosse announces schedule

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's lacrosse team will once again play one of the toughest schedules in all of Division III this season. Seven teams ranked in Lacrosse Magazine's D-III top-20 preseason rankings populate the Fords rugged 2013 slate.

Haverford opens the campaign with a short trip down the Main Line to Cabrini College on Feb. 23 to take on the sixth-ranked Cavaliers who advanced to the national quarterfinals last season. The challenges will continue as No. 20 St. Lawrence University awaits on March 2 in a neutral site contest held at the Brunswick School in Greenwich, Conn.

Fans of the Fords will get to see York (Pa.) College in the home opener on March 6 before two highly-ranked opponents come to town in the form of ninth-ranked Denison and No. 16 Trinity (Conn.) College on March 9 and March 19, respectively.

The Centennial Conference portion of the schedule will also offer an array of challenges as Haverford travels to No. 12 Gettysburg College on March 23 for its conference opener before welcoming 15th-ranked Washington College to Swan Field on March 27.

The final month of the regular season begins with the Fords traveling to No. 10 Dickinson, the defending conference champion, on April 6. The lone home contests in April consist of a match-up on April 10 with Muhlenberg College and the regular-season home finale against Swarthmore College on April 27.
