Slack Earns Second Defensive Player of the Week Nod

HAVERFORD, Pa. – For the second time this season, Dylan Slack has been recognized as the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week. Slack earns his most recent honor after stopping 11 of Ursinus' 19 shots on goal during the Fords' 9-8 win in overtime against the Bears.

Haverford's win against the No. 19 Bears was the team's first win against Ursinus since the 2012 season. The Fords' sophomore currently has an 8.15 goals against average in 2017 to rank fourth in the Centennial Conference. He ranks third in the conference with 136 saves while his 54.4 save percentage is also the fourth highest mark among conference peers.

Slack's 8.05 goals against average for his career is currently the third best mark in school history. His seventh win of the year on Saturday moved him into a tie for 10th place in that category on the College's single season record book. His 11 saves on Saturday marked the eighth time this year he has made at least 10 saves in the crease.

Men's lacrosse will host Swarthmore this Saturday at 3 p.m. on Swan Field in the team's regular season finale. Depending on scores around the conference before that game takes place, that contest could become a de facto play in game for the Centennial Conference Tournament for the second straight season.
