HAVERFORD, Pa. – Ethan Donlon earned his second Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week award after making 19 saves on Saturday against Ursinus and helping the Haverford College men's lacrosse team pick up its second top 10 victory of the season. That win also kept the Fords' postseason chances alive in the race for the final Centennial Conference playoff spot.

Just two weeks after making a career-high 23 saves in the Fords' victory over then-No. 10 Dickinson, Donlon stopped 19 shots at Ursinus and finished was a 67.9 save percentage during a 12-9 Fords win. He made at least four saves during each quarter as Haverford raced out to a 5-0 lead and allowed just three goals from the Bears during the entire second half. Donlon also collected four ground balls in the Centennial Conference victory.

With its most recent victory, Haverford now holds 10 wins against top 10 opponents all-time dating back to the national ranking archives starting in the 2002 season. The only other season in which Haverford defeated two top 10 teams in the same year came when Haverford won the 2010 Centennial Conference Championship. During that championship run, the Fords defeated No. 5 Dickinson and No. 2 Gettysburg in the CC semifinals and championship games before a third straight top 10 victory against No. 7 Dickinson during the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Men's lacrosse will wrap up the regular season this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. against Swarthmore. The Fords will also celebrate Senior Day this weekend against the rival Garnet while a win and help from around the conference could push Haverford into the postseason for the second straight year.
