Centennial Conference release

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's lacrosse team had two players named All-Centennial Conference performers as announced by the conference office. Ethan Donlon and Ben Frost were both honorable mention All-Centennial Conference selections for the Fords following their contributions to the 2019 team. In addition, Will Fox was named to the Centennial Conference's All-Sportsmanship Team.

Ben Frost, Haverford's William W. Ambler '45 Award recipient for holding the highest cumulative GPA among senior student-athletes, garnered All-Centennial Conference recognition for the second straight season. Frost was also an honorable mention recipient a year ago and came back in 2019 with career highs in goals (24), assists (8), points (32), shots (98), and shots on goal (54) from his spot in the midfield. Frost started all 15 games during the regular season for Haverford. Always a threat on man-up chances, each of his three man-up tallies came in Centennial Conference play to rank sixth among his conference peers. He scored 14 of his 24 goals during conference play and added half of his assists during that same time.

Ethan Donlon took over as the starting goalie with just six contests remaining but certainly made a big impact in that short span as he helped the Fords to road wins against then-No. 10 Dickinson and then-No. 10 Ursinus. Donlon stopped 23 shots in the win against the Red Devils and made 19 more saves against the Bears before they went on to win the Centennial Conference Championship. Even with two fewer conference starts than his counterparts, Donlon ranked fourth in the Centennial with 87 saves in conference matchups. Stopping 54 percent of the shots he faced in CC action, the Fords' sophomore also ranked fourth in that category. Donlon made at least 10 saves during each of his final five starts and earned Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors as well as USILA National Team of the Week recognition after both of Haverford's nationally-ranked victories.

Will Fox earned a spot on the conference's all-sportsmanship team following his four-year career. A goalie who was part of a unit that had two All-Centennial performers on this year's team, Fox played in four games throughout his career. He made one save and collected a ground ball during his limited playing time this year against nationally-ranked Gettysburg.

On the strength of its two Centennial Conference victories over top-10 opponents, the Haverford College men's lacrosse team remained in the playoff hunt throughout the regular season before missing the final playoff spot on the last day of the year. Three of Haverford's five wins came in Centennial Conference play as the Fords had one of the five toughest strength of schedules in all of Division III this season under first-year head coach Nick Taylor.
