HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford College senior men's lacrosse player Ben Frost has been named to the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District Men's At-Large team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

This award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom. The at-large team takes into account schools that do not have their own dedicated team for a particular sport. Along with the other first-team academic all-district selections, Front will now advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America ballot, with first and second-team Academic All-America honorees to be announced in June.

Ben Frost, a chemistry major, was named Haverford College's William W. Ambler '45 Award recipient for having the highest cumulative grade point average among all senior student-athletes. More recently, he became just the 11th different player in the history of the Centennial Conference to earn CC Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors as both a junior and senior in any sport. A three-time honoree on the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, Frost as earning CoSIDA honors for the second straight season and has already been named to the Philadelphia Inquirer All-Academic Team in each his first two seasons eligible for this award with those honorees not yet announced for the 2019 team.

Frost garnered All-Centennial Conference recognition for the second straight season. Frost was also an honorable mention recipient a year ago and came back in 2019 with career highs in goals (24), assists (8), points (32), shots (98), and shots on goal (54) from his spot in the midfield. Frost started all 15 games during the regular season for Haverford. Always a threat on man-up chances, each of his three man-up tallies came in Centennial Conference play to rank sixth among his conference peers. He scored 14 of his 24 goals during conference play and added half of his assists during that same time.
