FORDS FLASHBACK: Men's Lacrosse Punches CC Ticket vs. Swarthmore (2018)

April 28, 2018

Recap | Box Score

The Haverford/Swarthmore rivalry runs deep across all sports. Add in both teams fighting for the final spot in the Centennial Conference playoffs on the final day of the regular season (the third straight year that happened) and you have all the makings of an instant classic. The 2018 regular season finale certainly did not disappoint as the men's lacrosse team rallied from a 5-2 deficit over the final 16-plus minutes of regulation to punch their playoff ticket for the first time since 2011. Ben Frost, just one year before his All-American campaign, provided the game-winning tally with 1:37 remaining in regulation as he took the feed from classmate Isaac Krier who dished out three helpers on the afternoon. That playoff-clinching win gave Haverford its first Centennial Conference Tournament appearance since the 2011 season.
