Ed Chang recently completed his first season on the Haverford College men’s lacrosse coaching staff. Chang joined the Fords’ staff for the 2016 season as an assistant coach following five years of head coaching experience that spanned the high school through collegiate ranks.

In his most recent head coaching role, Chang worked with the Temple University men’s lacrosse club during the 2013-14 seasons. More recently, he served as the special teams coordinator and tight ends coach at West Chester East High School for the football team in the fall of 2015.

His other coaching stops include seasons as the varsity head coach with Devon Preparatory, the junior varsity coach at Neuqua High School (Ill.) and an assistant coach at Wheaton North High School (Ill.). He also spent one season as Lacrosse America’s Head Coach and Assistant Program Director.

A proven leader, Chang has served as an Army Gold-Bar Recruiter for Wheaton College’s ROTC program. He also served the United States of America as an Army Infantry Platoon Leader in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He currently resides in West Chester, Pa. where he works as the Chief Operations Officer for FlexBox Mobile Storage.

Chang graduated for Wheaton College with Bachelors of Science degree in philosophy. At Wheaton, he was a three-year starter in the team’s midfield, seeing time as the team’s long stick midfielder. He helped lead the team to the Great Lake Rivers Lacrosse Conference Championship game.
