Men’s soccer falls to Muhlenberg, 2-0

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Haverford College men's soccer team fell to host Muhlenberg College, 2-0, in a Centennial Conference match Saturday night.

Muhlenberg (6-2-0, 2-2-0 CC) got on the board quickly with a second minute goal from Josh Luginbuhl who headed home a crossing pass from Steve Giannacio. The game remained 1-0 until Danny Way scored an insurance goal from 30 yards out in the 87th minute. 
Haverford's Andriy Mshanetskyy and Muhlenberg's Ari Nutovits each made three saves. Muhlenberg, ranked 16th in the d3soccer.com poll and 23rd in the National Soccer Coaches Association of American poll, owned a 7-6 shot advantage.
Haverford (3-6-0, 0-4-0 CC) returns to the pitch at Widener in a non-conference clash Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m.
