Men's Soccer Places Three on All-Mid-Atlantic Region Team

NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Region

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's soccer team was represented by three players on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Mid-Atlantic Region team. Sam Yarosh and Will Corkery were named as first-team all-region selections, while Colin Seitz earned second-team all-region recognition.

The 2015 season marks the first year in which Haverford was represented by more than one individual since the all-region award's inception. Yarosh and Corkery are the first two players to earn first-team all-region recognition in program history. Yarosh was also a third-team all-region selection in 2013, while Corkery and Seitz garnered all-region accolades for the first time in their respective careers. The Fords have had an all-region selection in each of the last four seasons.

Sam Yarosh's most recent honor adds to an impressive senior campaign for the Fords' captain. Yarosh was named the program's first Centennial Conference Player of the Year and was named first-team all-conference. He led the team and conference with 17 goals and 39 points. Both Yarosh and Corkery tied for the conference lead and the program's single-season record with seven game-winning goals. His final game-winning goal came in Haverford's 2-0 win over St. Lawrence that put the team into the Elite Eight for the first time in program history. Haverford was 13-0 when Yarosh scored a goal. He also recorded five assists on the season and finished with a point in 15 different matches.

Will Corkery also earned first-team recognition as he tied with Yarosh with the school-record seven game-winning goals. Corkery led the Centennial Conference in assists for the second straight season. His 13 assists rank as the eighth highest single-season mark in program history. Corkery also added nine goals to tally a point in 15 contests. One of the team's four first-team All-Centennial Conference picks, Corkery was also named the Centennial Conference Tournament MVP after scoring both game-winning goals in the conference tournament on Walton Field, including the lone goal with 19 seconds remaining to send the Fords to their second Centennial Conference Championship in four years.

Colin Seitz earned second-team all-region accolades as a standout on the Fords' defense. A first-team all-conference defender, Seitz helped the Fords record 10 shutouts on the year, the most since the 1991 season and just one off of the program record. Each of the team's 10 shutouts came during the program-record 16 game winning streak. Haverford allowed more than one goal on just one occasion during that historic stretch. Seitz also tallied assists from his defensive position in the win over then-No. 1 Franklin & Marshall and in the conference semifinal victory against Johns Hopkins.

Men's soccer won a program-record 18 games during the 2015 season and rose to No. 1 in the regional rankings under the Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year Shane Rineer. The Fords went 9-0 in Centennial Conference play before taking home their second conference title in four years on Walton Field. Haverford earned a first round bye with a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament bracket and advanced all the way to the Elite Eight as the team hosted the NCAA Regional and Sectional rounds on Walton Field for the first time in program history.
