Men's Soccer Ranked No. 6 in NSCAA Postseason Poll

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's soccer team finished the 2015 season ranked No. 6 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Poll. The Fords' ranking in the postseason poll represents their highest ranking of the historic season.

The 2015 season saw Haverford make its deepest run through the NCAA Tournament in program history, advancing all the way to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament before a 1-0 overtime loss to SUNY Oneonta on Walton Field in the NCAA Sectional Final. The Fords won a program-record 18 games during the fall, a season that included a team-record 16 straight victories before the overtime defeat.

During NCAA Tournament, the Fords advanced to the second round by virtue of claiming the top seed and subsequent bye in their bracket. They opened the regional weekend with a 2-1 victory against Washington and Lee on Walton Field. Haverford moved into the Elite Eight with a 2-0 win over St. Lawrence as the team also earned the right to host the sectional weekend of play.

Also included in the 16-game winning streak was the team's second Centennial Conference Championship in program history. After becoming the first men's soccer team in Centennial Conference play to go a perfect 9-0 since the 2006 season, the Fords claimed a 4-1 win over Johns Hopkins in the conference semifinals. The team won a thrilling 1-0 match against Dickinson to capture the conference crown.

Haverford was rewarded for its team success with seven members of the team garnering postseason accolades for their athletic achievements. Brady Seitz, Colin Seitz, Will Corkery and Sam Yarosh were named first-team All-CC selections. Maclyn Willigan (second team), Sam Miller (honorable mention), and Tejan Walcott (honorable mention) were also selected as all-conference honorees. Both Corkery and Yarosh earned first-team All-Mid-Atlantic Region honors, while Colin Seitz was a second-team selection. Yarosh also became the program's first All-America performer since the 1984 season.
