HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's soccer team is back in the top 25 with the No. 22 ranking in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll. The poll is the second of the regular season after the Fords were receiving votes a week ago and ranked No. 6 in the preseason voting.

Haverford is coming off a week with a non-conference draw and a 3-2 win in the Centennial Conference opener. The Fords started last week with a scoreless draw on the road at Stevens before returning to Walton Field for a thrilling 3-2 win against Johns Hopkins. Nick Jannelli put the Fords up 2-0 early in that game. The visiting Blue Jays rallied to tie the game before Jannelli nearly finished with a hat trick. However, his bid at the game-winning goal bounced off the post and right to a waiting Peter Baroff for the decisive goal of the conference opener.

The Fords will have a pair of road trips this week as the team treks to Stockton on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. match under the lights. Haverford won 2-0 when these teams met a season ago on Walton Field. Centennial Conference play will resume this Saturday with a trip to McDaniel. That game will also be a rematch of a 2-0 Haverford win on Walton Field in 2015.

Haverford is also ranked No. 21 in this week's edition of the D3Soccer.com poll. Both polls are scheduled for a new set of rankings on next Tuesday, September 27.
