HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's soccer team slipped to No. 17 in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll following a 1-1 week. That ranking marked a drop from the Fords' first-ever top five ranking under head coach Shane Rineer. Haverford (8-2-2, 5-0 CC) checks in at No. 18 in the country in the latest D3Soccer.com rankings.

Despite outshooting Rutgers-Camden by a 16-4 margin in the non-conference game on Wednesday, Haverford could not find the back of the net in a frustrating 1-0 defeat. However, the Fords bounced back with a 2-1 win against Dickinson this past Saturday to maintain sole possession of first place in the Centennial Conference. Nick Jannelli and Michael Carr provided the offense for the Fords in the rematch of last year's Centennial Conference Championship, while Jeremy Astesano picked up his first win in goal during his first career start.

Men's soccer has just one match on the schedule this week as the Fords will travel to Muhlenberg on Saturday for a 7 p.m. clash under the lights in Allentown. The Fords won last year's meeting by a 2-1 score with a goal in the 89th minute of play on Walton Field. Haverford is currently two points ahead of Franklin & Marshall in the Centennial Conference standings with that match looming in two weekends.
