HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's soccer team has broken into the national rankings just before the NCAA Tournament. The Fords (14-4) are riding an 11-match winning streak into the NCAA Tournament and debut at No. 14 in the United Soccer Coaches Association Poll while placing 22nd in the D3Soccer.com Poll.

Haverford is currently riding the fourth-longest active winning streak in all of Division III this season with only St. Joseph's (Maine) (20 games), Wisconsin-Superior (14 games), and Eastern (12 games) holding longer active stretches. The Fords' winning streak is the second-longest in school history, ranking second only to the 2015 team which won 16 straight matches during its run to the Elite Eight.

The Fords are coming off of their third Centennial Conference Championship in school history over the weekend, having defeated Dickinson and Franklin & Marshall to hoist the conference crown on Walton Field. The title was the Fords' fourth Centennial Conference Championship in school history and gave Haverford an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament where the team will be making its seventh NCAA Tournament appearance all-time.

In its opening match of the NCAA Tournament, the Fords will battle New York University at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night. NYU is currently receiving votes in the D3Soccer.com Poll and unranked in the United Soccer Coaches poll. Host Montclair State and Colby make up the other two teams in the pod. Montclair State is ranked seventh by the United Soccer Coaches and eighth by D3Soccer.com. Colby is currently unranked in both national polls.

With a win in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, Haverford would advance to Sunday's regional championship match which is set for 7 p.m. and will also be hosted by Montclair State regardless of Saturday's results.
