FORDS FLASHBACK: Men's Soccer Makes it Three Titles in Four Years (2018)

Over the course of the summer, Haverford Athletics will continue to dig into the archives to bring you a "Fords Flashback".

November 4, 2018

Recap | Box Score

The Haverford College men's soccer team made it three Centennial Conference Championships in four years with a 3-2 double overtime victory against Franklin & Marshall during the 2018 season. Each of the Fords' most three recent titles came on their home pitch after also finishing atop the CC regular season standings during those seasons. The match started with a torrid offensive pace as the teams were knotted at two-all just under 25 minutes into regulation. Nevertheless, it took nearly 100 more minutes before Centennial Conference Player of the Year Nick Jannelli '20 found the back of the net during the 103rd minute of play. Centennial Conference Tournament MVP Peter Baroff '20 had one of his two assists in the championship on that game-winner while also scoring the equalizer earlier in the contest. That capped a spectacular weekend in which Baroff had a hand in all four of Haverford's goals, also scoring the game-winner in the 1-0 win over Dickinson the previous day.
