HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College men's soccer program was excited to welcome back its alumni this past weekend for the annual alumni match, as the alums were competively charged in their return to campus despite a driving rain that forced the contest to Swan Field. 

With the 2021 season slated to kickoff on Wednesday at Cabrini, the varsity and alumni Fords engaged in a competitive match despite the challenging conditions. After the annual preseason friendly, the current team welcomed the alumni back for a postgame tailgate to rekindle memories of year's past and get to know the 2021 squad as it prepares to represent Haverford this fall. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this was also the first time that the alumni had met the first year and sophomore classes, which added to feelings of comraderie and connection for one of the most storied programs in collegiate men's soccer.
