Alex Kulp recently completed his second season as an assistant coach on the Haverford College men’s soccer team. In this position, Kulp is involved in all facets of the program including practice planning, advanced scouting, and recruiting.

His impact has been immediately felt as the Fords captured the program’s second Centennial Conference Championship in 2015 and advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament with the Fords serving as the host of both the NCAA Regional and Sectional rounds for the first time in program history.

Kulp comes to Haverford following a four-year coaching stint at Chestnut Hill College from 2010-13. During his time at Chestnut Hill, Kulp helped lead the Griffins to a pair of Central Athletic Collegiate Conference Tournament appearances. Kulp played collegiately at Moravian College before beginning his college coaching career.

The Fords’ assistant began his coaching career on the sidelines of his high school alma mater, Roman Catholic High School, in 2010. There, he directed the Cahillites freshmen program while serving as an assistant for the varsity squad. While competing as a collegiate student-athlete with the Greyhounds, Kulp also served as the Landmark Conference’s representative for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III National Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Kulp currently coaches club soccer at Continental FC.

Coach Kulp earned his bachelor’s degree in business management with a minor in marketing from Moravian College in 2010. He earned his master's degree in sports management from Drexel University in 2013. Kulp received his United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National C License in 2014 and holds his National Diploma and Advanced National Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). Kulp currently resides in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania.
