Professional soccer player Charlie Reymann joined the Haverford College men’s soccer team as an assistant coach prior to the 2017 season. Reymann currently plays for Bethlehem Steel in the United Soccer League where the Steel are a second division affiliate of the Philadelphia Union.

Reymann graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2017 where he started 77 of his 80 career matches for the Wildcats. That stretch included starting each of the last 60 matches to close his decorated playing career. A two-year captain, he also was a three-year member on the team’s Leadership Council as selected by his fellow players and coaches. Reymann also worked with Kentucky’s Student-Athlete Advisory committee.

In his first season as captain, Reymann led Kentucky to the 2015 Conference USA Championship. He followed that campaign up with a second-team All-Conference USA selection as his team earned its first-ever top 16 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Of his 21 career assists as a defender, 10 came during his senior season when he led the team in that category. He was also recognized as Conference USA All-Tournament Team performer in 2013 and 2015, along with Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll recognition each year.

A recipient of the 2016 Frank G. Ham Society of Character Award, presented to 18 student-athletes at Kentucky for their commitment to academic excellence, athletic participation, personal development, and service as a role model; Reymann graduated in the spring of 2017 with his degree in Finance.
