Track teams put in solid outing at Princeton Relays

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Haverford College men's and women's indoor track & field teams had a number of strong performances at the Princeton Relays Saturday evening.

The most notable performance came on the men's side where Tim Schoch ran an NCAA provisional qualifying time for the second consecutive week. Last week Schoch reached the mark in the mile while Saturday he accomplished the feat in the 800 meter run. His time of one minute, 54.39 seconds gave Schoch first place in his section. Three other Haverford runners finished in the top-seven in that section as well. Ivo Milic-Strkalj (1:56.33) took fifth while Andrew Golato (1:56.75) and Eric Arnold (1:57.13) took sixth and seventh, respectively.

In the 3,000 Haverford had four of the first five finishers, led by Faraz Sohail's second-place performance of 8:39.81. Brian Sokas finished on the heels of Sohail in a time of 8:42.82 while Peter Kissin (8:44.24) and Andrew Sturner (8:48.37) rounded out the top-five.

Flora Berklein rounded out the Fords' individual first-place performances by taking her section of the 3,000 in 11:13.15.

The Fords' 4x400 "B" relay team of Erin Seglem, Carlomagno, Morgan and Evangeline Krajewski won its section with a time of 4:21.65.
