HAVERFORD, Pa. – The awards continue to roll in for Haverford men's track standout Charlie Marquardt. It was announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Tuesday that Marquardt would be honored as the country's top track athlete in Division III this week. This announcement came hours after Marquardt was named the Centennial Conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for the third straight time.

This marks the second time Marquardt has been honored by the USTFCCCA as the Track Athlete of the Week during the indoor season, the last coming in Feb. 2015. The Haverford senior was also named to the same accolade during the outdoor season in May 2015.

Marquardt's recent accomplishments include completing the mile run in a time of 4:02.34 at the FastTrack National Invite in Staten Island, N.Y. last weekend and the 3,000 meters in 8:06.56 at the Villanova Invitational before that. His mile time ranks second in program history and fifth in Division III history while his 3,000 time stands at fourth-fastest.

Men's indoor track & field is in action again this Saturday for the Keogh Invitational at the Alumni Field House. It will be Haverford's final event before the Centennial Conference Championships.
