Peet Named CC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford sophomore Graham Peet was named the Centennial Conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon. The honor represents the first weekly recognition for the sophomore, who adds to plaudit to numerous conference and regional postseason accolades.

Peet took home the event crown in the 3000m at the Coach I Open at F&M on Saturday with a time of 8:53.33, a new personal collegiate best in the discipline.

The Vashon, Wash product got off to a fast start during the indoor track campaign, following up on his second consecutive cross country All-Conference and All-Region finishes in the fall of 2016 with a personal best time at the Franklin and Marshall hosted event, the first meet of 2017 for the Fords.

The 2015 Centennial Conference cross country Rookie of the Year also picked up USTFCCA All-Mideast Region honors and Second-team All-Centennial Conference honors in the 3,000m steeplechase in the spring of 2016.

Peet and the Fords will return to action on Saturday, January 21 at the Collegeville Invitational, hosted by Ursinus College.
