NEW YORK CITY - Haverford College men's track & field senior Jamie Moreland competed in the 115th Millrose Games at the historic Armory in New York City on Saturday afternoon. Moreland was one of 22 individual collegiate athletes to participate in the 2023 Millrose Games, including one of just two athletes from Division III institutions.

Moreland ran the George Hirsch Invitational Men's Mile, helping to kick off NBC's national live broadcast. The Senior finished in 10th place overall in 4:08.83, rounding out a loaded field that featured two runners who went under the four-minute mark and three more who crossed the finish in under 4:01. Austin Miller of Tinman Elite paced the field in 3:57.89, ahead of Jack Yearian of Oregon Track Club in 3:59.59. The only other collegiate entrants aside from Moreland were Tiarnan Crorken of Division I Ole Miss (4:02.85) and Scott Sikorski of Division III Rochester (4:04.72).

The Los Angeles native has a personal-best time of 4:03.66, the fastest in Division III this season at the time, set at the Terrier Classic in Boston on January 27. In addition, the time is the fourth-best in Haverford program history and the eighth-fastest individual mark in Division III history.

The full Haverford squad will return to action on Saturday, February 18, hosting the Keogh Invitational at the Alumni Field House. Events are slated to begin at 10:30 a.m.
