HAVERFORD, Pa. -  The Haverford College men's indoor track & field team has been projected to finish third in the Centennial Conference, the conference office announced in a release on Thursday morning.

The preseason poll has Johns Hopkins achieving the Centennial Conference title with 64 points and eight first-place votes. The Blue Jays are heading into the 2023-2024 season after securing their 10th straight Centennial Conference Championship.

Ursinus slots in at number two, totaling 57 points while collecting the remaining first-place vote. Haverford sits in third collecting 42 points, with McDaniel (fourth place, 39 points) and Dickinson (fifth place, 38 points) rounding out the top five.

Muhlenberg was predicted sixth tallying 30 points, with Swarthmore (7th place, 24 points), Franklin & Marshall (8th place, 16 points) and Gettysburg (9th place, 14 points) concluding the preseason poll.

After finishing the season in fifth place a season ago, the Fords look to build upon a successful foundation that saw four Centennial Conference Athletes of the Week awards, five all-conference selections, and an impressive 13 Indoor All-Metro Region Certificate winners.

Despite the departure of 2022-23 Centennial Conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Year Jamie Moreland, the Fords will be returning three of the four runners from the record-breaking Centennial Conference Championship DMR team in Ravi Eaton, Reza Eshghi, and Matthew Denton who all claimed All-Centennial Conference first team awards a season ago.

Peter LaRochelle who achieved Centennial Conference honorable mention in the 5000 meters will also be returning for his junior season.

Haverford will head to Collegeville, Pa for the season-opening meet on Friday, December 8th as the Fords head to the Bow Tie Meet on the campus of Ursinus. The race will kick-off at 4 p.m.

Franklin & Marshall will be the site of the 2023-24 Centennial Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships once again, with the two-day event taking place on February 24th and February 25th.
