Men’s cross country picked first; women third in Centennial preseason polls

LANACASTER, Pa. – The Haverford College men's cross country team was picked first in the 2010 Centennial Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll while the women were picked third as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

The men received six first-place votes for 62 points (voters not permitted to vote for their own team). Defending champion Dickinson was second with 59 points and three first-place votes.

On the women's side Dickinson is the preseason favorite, earning five first-place votes for 77 points. Defending champion Johns Hopkins was picked second with 71 points and two first-place votes while the Fords received 70 points and three first-place votes.
