Centennial tabs Stadler for season, weekly honors

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Centennial Conference on Monday afternoon released its men's cross country runner of the week award with Haverford College's Christopher Stadler capturing the weekly honor two days after earning the league's runner of the year award upon racing to the individual title at the 2013 championship race.

Stadler covered the eight-kilometer course at the Carroll County Farm Complex in 25 minutes, 42.9 seconds Saturday afternoon, out distancing the runner-up by 16 seconds. The Fords finished third in the team race.

With his 2013 individual title, Stadler becomes just the fourth runner in Centennial history to wear the conference crown in successive years. Haverford hosted the championship meet in 2012 and Stadler helped the Fords capture the team trophy with a first-place individual finish.
