HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's cross country team was named one of the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association's 2015 Division III Men's All-Academic Teams as announced by the organization.

To be considered an All-Academic Team, programs must have compiled a cumulative GPA or 3.10 or greater and competed in at least five different meets with at least five runners representing their school at each.

The Fords were one of 152 men's teams to be given the honor and one of nine teams for either gender in the Centennial Conference. Haverford is no stranger to the All-Academic Team award as the team has won the Scholar Team of the Year three times (2007, 2010-11).

Haverford also had four members receive USTFCCCA All-Academic honors. Seniors David Roza, Joel Christian, junior Nicholas Gandolfo-Lucia and sophomore Jimmy Gorman were bestowed with the award. To get the accolade, runners must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 and have finished in the top 25 percent of finishers at regionals.

It was another stellar campaign for the men's cross country team in 2014 as it won the Centennial Conference title for the 19th time in 22 seasons. Junior Charlie Marquardt claimed the 17th individual title for the Fords in the conference's history and would also win the Mideast Regional crown as well.
