Men's Cross Country Slotted At  No. 20 In Latest USTFCCCA Poll

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's cross country team sits at No. 20 in the USTFCCCA Poll, tallying 138 votes, the coaches' organization announced on Wednesday afternoon. Haverford dropped five slots from No. 15 a week ago. The Fords again were ranked as the No. 2 squad in the regional rankings behind Carnegie Mellon.

SUNY Geneseo stays ahead of North Central (Ill.) for the top spot in the national ranking, taking four of the eight first place tallies while North Central retains four as well. Williams, UW-Eau Claire and new top five entrant MIT round out the national top five.

Haverford is the top Centennial Conference team nationally as Johns Hopkins is No. 22 and Dickinson falls to No. 33. Carnegie Mellon held onto its top rank in the Mideast regional poll. Haverford is second while Johns Hopkins is third.

Dickinson and Widener round out the top five in the Mideast region for the second straight week as there were no changes to the regional poll's first six slots. Saint Vincent enters at No. 7 regionally.

Head Coach Tom Donnelly's team will return to action at the Rowan Inter-Regional in Glassboro, N.J. on Saturday, October 15. The starting gun is slated for 11:45 a.m. The meet, hosted by Rowan University, will serve as a precursor to the final two home events of the year, the Haverford Invitational on Oct. 21 and the Centennial Conference Championships on October 29, both at the Alumni Cross Country Course.
