HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's cross country team was named one of the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association's (USTFCCCA) 2016 Division III Men's All-Academic Teams as announced by the organization in a release on Thursday afternoon.

To be considered an All-Academic Team, programs must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.10 or greater and competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional Meet. The Fords were one of 173 men's teams to be given the honor in 2016.

Haverford is no stranger to the All-Academic Team award as the team has won the Scholar Team of the Year three times (2007, 2010-11) and has garnered All-Academic Team designation in each year of the award's history dating back to 1996.

Charlie Hale, Ryan Herlihy, Greg Morgan, Graham Peet, James Stadler and Henry Woods were also all named to individual All-Academic Honors. Woods and Peet took home the honor for the second consecutive season.

It was another standout campaign for the men's cross country team in 2016. Haverford picked up its 21st conference title in 24 campaigns, dispatching Johns Hopkins who finished second. The Fords qualified for the Division III Championships by virtue of its second place finish at the Mideast Regional in Center Valley, Pa.

Woods finished third overall in the Regional to pace the Fords. In its 24th overall appearance in the NCAA meet, Haverford finished 18th while Woods was named All-American after a 22nd place individual finish.
