Game two was highlighted by Mia Kessinger's 100th career hit, where the junior roped an RBI-double to center field, that scored the second run of the game for the Scarlet and Black.
In the batter’s box, Lauren Martin and Addie Sapirstein had two hits each for the Fords, with Martin recording one RBI. Sapirstein, Jocelyn Leal, and Abby Litchfield all came around to score once in the narrow 4-3 defeat.
Prior to first pitch of gamae one, Haverford paid tribute to its lone senior, Alexa Finkele, with a pregame ceremony. Once the contest ensued, it was Finkele who impressed in the circle during a pitchers’ duel against Paige Forry.

Fresh off a one-hit performance against Hamilton, Kaleigh Bodak was dealing once again in the pitcher’s circle against the River Hawks, throwing 5.1 scoreless innings, giving up just three hits and striking out two.

The Fords finished the day with a pair of defeats to Massachusetts schools, falling to Springfield in game one in a close 4-3 final before Suffolk got the best of the Fords by a 13-5 final in the nightcap.
The Scarlet and Black open their 2024 campaign at home with a doubleheader against Cabrini on March 7, with the pair of games slated for 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. at Class of '95 Field.
