Pizzuto Named to All-CC First Team, Lynch All-CC Second Team

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Senior Jacquelyne Pizzuto of the Haverford College women's basketball team was named to the All-Centennial Conference first team while her classmate, Elizabeth Lynch, was named to the All-Centennial Conference second team. 

Pizzuto averaged 11.2 points, a conference-high 5.2 assists, and 2.9 rebounds a game this season. The senior finished with the most assists in a single season in Fords' history (140) and only turned the ball over 41 times, giving her the best assist-to-turnover ratio (3.4) in the country. 

During the 2014-15 campaign, Pizzuto had at least five assists in 16 games and at least three assists in every game except for one. The two-time captain was also an excellent three-pointer shooter, making 43 percent from long range, tallying 40 on the season. Her three-point field goal percentage is the second highest in a single season as is her free throw percentage (87.7). The senior point guard also showed a scoring prowess, tallying double figures 16 times including a career-high 22 points vs. Ursinus (Jan. 27). 

For her career, Pizzuto is the all-time leader in three-point field percentage (36.1), free throw percentage (84.6), assists (407), assists average (3.8), and games played (106). She's also in the top ten in points (911), field goals made (317), and three-pointers made (118). The senior was also named to the All-Centennial Conference second team as a junior and All-CC honorable mention as a sophomore. She is just third Fords player in program history to be named to the conference's first team. 

Lynch was the team's leading scorer at 12.2 points per contest, good for seventh in the conference. The senior also paced the Fords with 56 three-pointers, a single season record. Her all-around game was also on display this season as she averaged 5.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.3 steals per game. 

One of only six players in program history to score 1,000 career points, Lynch finished with 1,116 (fourth). She had at least 10 points in 19 games, highlighted by a stretch of five straight to end the season. The senior also recorded her fourth and fifth career double-doubles. The 1,000 point scorer has the most three-pointers made (206) and ranks in top ten in games played (103), field goals made (401), blocked shots (70), three-point field goal percentage (29.7) and assists (178).  

Two seniors, who also were named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, were part of a group along with Pallavi Juneja and Shannon Smith that won 73 games, the most of any class all-time. The Class of 2015 won at least 15 games all four years and was part of four Centennial Conference playoff berths; a conference title in 2014 and the first NCAA Tournament win in women's basketball history. 

In addition to Pizzuto and Lynch's accolades, junior Olivia Walsh was named to conference's All-Sportsmanship team. The two-sport player missed the first eight games of the season because of injury, but worked her way into the starting lineup for six of the final eight contests. Walsh averaged 4.4 points, 1.9 rebounds per game and 50.9 percent shooting from the floor.
