HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford women's basketball senior co-captain Macy Goldbach has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week, the conference office announced in a release on Monday afternoon.  The award is the second of Goldbach's career, as she was also honored during the 2016-17 campaign.

Goldbach garnered the award after an impressive showing against Eastern in the 2018 finale on Saturday inside the Gooding '84 Arena. Goldbach poured in a career-best 25 points as the Fords pulled away from the Eagles in a 33-point victory. The Garnet Valley, Pa. product made a career-best 11 field goals in her 31 minutes of action, shooting a season-best 57.9 percent from the field. Goldbach also contributed three steals and grabbed six rebounds in the triumph.

Goldbach currently ranks within the top 10 in points per game in the conference (13.7), and her 2.1 steals per game is also a top five mark among Centennial Conference competitors. The Chemistry major is currently third all-time in Haverford career history in three-point field goals made with 134 and ranks 12th in the program's career history with 804 points.

Goldbach is a two-time All-Centennial Conference performer, earning a spot on the second team a season ago after honorable mention following the 2016-17 season. Earlier this year, she was named Terry Greene Tip-Off Classic MVP after averaging 13.5 points per game and seven rebounds per game as Haverford went 2-0 at the Franklin & Marshall-hosted invitational.

The Fords (8-2, 4-2 CC) have completed competition for 2018 as final exams have commenced in earnest on campus. Following the holiday break, Haverford will return to Centennial Conference play on Saturday, January 5 as the squad hosts Johns Hopkins in the 2019 lid-lifter inside Gooding '84 Arena. Tip-off is slated for 1 p.m.
