Signature Wins: A regular season triumph at then-No. 20 Gettysburg served as a prelude to a fantastic finish for the Fords as Haverford dismantled the host Bullets in a 21-point triumph (Jan. 26). Haverford shot 42.6 percent from the field in the contest, with junior Megan Furch adding a career-best 17 points as Haverford downed a ranked opponent for the second consecutive season. Haverford held Gettysburg to its lowest point total since the 2014-15 season in the victory. Haverford then made a spirited run through the Centennial Conference Championships, avenging a pair of regular season losses to Johns Hopkins with a thrilling 43-41 victory over the Blue Jays (Feb. 22) in the semifinal round. Junior Anna-Sophia Capizzi notched 15 points in the victory while sophomore Julianna Clark sank the eventual game-winner with 22 seconds to play. A resounding victory in its second straight Centennial Conference final appearance (Feb. 23) gave Haverford its second Centennial crown. The Fords silenced host Gettysburg with a methodical effort on both sides of the ball. The Fords shot 45.3 percent from the field in the contest, owned a 36-33 advantage on the glass, and held top-seeded Gettysburg to just 12 field goals. Senior Macy Goldbach was named the Tournament's Most Valuable Player after a 22-point performance in the title game. Haverford advanced to the NCAA First Round with the Centennial's automatic bid secured, earning a matchup against Rosemont on the campus of Tufts (Mar. 1). The Fords came out firing on all cylinders in the showdown with their Main Line neighbors, jetting out to a 43-point victory as every Haverford player to see action scored. Haverford had four scorers in double figures in the triumph with junior Megan Furch and first year Caroline Andersen each pouring in 14 on the national stage. Haverford held Rosemont without a made three-pointer and did not allow a field goal in the third quarter in a dominant effort ... Haverford then went toe-to-toe against No. 4 Tufts in an electrifying second round contest (Mar. 2), giving the Jumbos, a team with four straight "Elite 8" appearances, all they could handle. Haverford was tied at the halftime break and held multiple second half leads against one of the nation's winningest squads. 

Season Notes: Haverford reached the NCAA tournament for a second consecutive season, the first time in program history the squad has advanced to the tournament in consecutive years … Haverford's 22 wins were the second-most in program history, falling short only to the 2013-14 squad that delivered the program's first Centennial Conference title … The Fords reached the NCAA Second Round for the second time in program history, joining the 2013-14 team in that distinction … The Haverford defense finished as the third-stingiest in the nation, allowing just 47.7 points per contest…The Fords also committed the eighth-fewest fouls per game among Division III squads (12.1) … Haverford finishes the season receiving votes in both the WBCA and D3Hoops.com national Top 25 polls … The Fords battled Division I Penn at the Palestra (Jan. 27), in a contest televised by ESPN+ ... The contest was Haverford's first ever against a Division I opponent .. Macy Goldbach became the ninth player in program history to reach 1,000 points, achieving the feat in her final home game at Gooding '84 Arena on February 13 against Swarthmore … Senior Katie Cook finishes her career with 400 career assists, the second-most in program history … Cook played and started in 109 total contests at Haverford, tops in each category … Cook recorded the 25th-best assist-to-turnover ratio in Division III in 2019 (2.12).

Looking ahead: The Fords will miss the veteran leadership of captains Katie Cook and Macy Goldbach, as the pair led the squad to a pair of NCAA tournament appearances and a Centennial title, and will leave Haverford with numerous career records and milestones. The Fords return vital scorers Capizzi (12.0 ppg), Furch (10.1 ppg), and Gallic (8.1 ppg) for their senior seasons in 2019-20, while Clark returns for her third campaign (7.1 ppg).  Reserves Andersen, Nyla Robinson, Hannah Zoll, and Lauren Howard will contribute to a bolstered rotation for a team that will certainly be hungry to return to the NCAA tournament for a third consecutive season.
