Flamini and Albright Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Seniors Gia Flamini and Erin Albright of the Haverford College women's basketball team have been named to the CSC Academic All-District team for the second consecutive season, the organization announced in a release on Wednesday morning.

Playing the third-most minutes in the Centennial Conference this season, Flamini played in all 25 games for the Fords, starting in all but one contest. She ended the season first on the team in steals with 37. The Medford N.J. native finished fourth on the team in points with 6.6 points per game, and second on the team in assists with 46 helpers total. The guard pulled down 4.2 rebounds per game and shot 35.3 percent from the field, 30 percent from three-point land, and a team-high 85.7 percent from the free-throw line.  Most notably, the Shawnee product scored 10 points or more in five separate contests, including a season-high 13 points against Muhlenberg on February 6.

A member of the 2023-24 Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Team, Albright appeared in every game for the Scarlet and Black  in her senior season, starting 23 games. One of the three team captains this season, the forward finished with the third-most steals on the team with 24 and tied for third on the team in assists with 36. The Clarks Summit, Pa. local  averaged 1.6 points per game and grabbed 4.2 rebounds per game. She shot 21.1 percent from the field, 10.7 percent from three-point land, and 60 percent from the free-throw line. Hailing from Abington Heights High School, Albright registered at least four points in six different games this season, including scoring a season-high six points against #3 Christopher Newport on December 2. On the glass, she pulled down a season-high seven rebounds twice in the 2023-2024 season, vs. Washington College on December 9 and against Franklin & Marshall on February 8.

The 2023-2024 Academic All-District ® Women's Basketball Team, selected by CSC, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division II and NAIA.
