Season Review: Women's Lacrosse Returns to CC Playoffs

Season Review: Women's Lacrosse Returns to CC Playoffs

Signature Wins: Arguably one of the biggest wins in program history, the Haverford College women's lacrosse team came back to defeat the No. 4 Gettysburg College Bullets, 11-10 in double overtime at Swan Field (Apr. 21). The Fords were down 6-1 at halftime, 8-2 and 10-6 in the second half before coming back to win. It was the first time that Haverford had defeated Gettysburg since 1994 and just the Bullets' second Centennial Conference loss to a team other Franklin and Marshall since the 2002 campaign.

In the first round of the Centennial Conference playoffs, the Fords avenged an earlier season loss with a 15-12 road victory (Apr. 29) over the Muhlenberg College Mules. It was the first time that Haverford won in the playoffs since an 11-9 win over Dickinson during the 2010 season. Seniors Hannah Morgan and Diana Perry led the offense with four goals each while freshman Molly Lausten added two goals in the win.
