Robbins Selected for IWLCA Senior All-Star Game

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Brianna Robbins '15 of the Haverford College women's lacrosse team was selected by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) to play in the 2015 North-South Division III Senior All-Star Game as announced by the organization today.

The all-star game will take place at Cabrini College on June 6th at 2 p.m. A member of the South team, Robbins is one of 43 Division III athletes and nine Centennial Conference players chosen to participate in the game.

This season, Robbins set a career high with 23 caused turnovers, good for fifth in the conference. The defender also picked up 21 ground balls, her best mark in three seasons. The four-year player snagged 76 ground balls and caused 58 turnovers in her career.

Robbins' leadership on defense helped the Fords reach the 10-win mark for the fourth time in six years as they finished 11-8 overall. The team came back to defeat the No. 4 Gettysburg College Bullets, 11-10 in double overtime at Swan Field (Apr. 21). Haverford also reached the Centennial Conference Semifinals for the third time in program history.

The IWLCA recognized 132 senior student-athletes overall across the three divisions. The D-I contest will begin the day of action at Cabrini at 11:30 a.m. while the D-II game is slated for 12:45 p.m.
