Women's Lacrosse Slotted Ninth in Initial Mid-Atlantic Regional Rankings

Full NCAA Rankings Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The No. 25 Haverford College women's lacrosse team is ranked ninth in the initial Mid-Atlantic Regional women's lacrosse rankings, which were released to the public on Wednesday afternoon. The initial rankings reflect games played through Sunday, April 15. The Fords are currently 9-4 on the season and have garnered a 3-3 mark in Centennial Conference competition.

These rankings include the top 15 percent of eligible teams in each region. The rankings ultimately lead up to the selection of at-large bids to the NCAA Tournament. A second ranking will be released on Wednesday, April 25 and a third will be issued on Wednesday, May 2. The final rankings are slated to be compiled on Sunday, May 6 and released as part of the announcement of the 42-team tournament field that evening (9 p.m., NCAA.com)

Haverford has already eclipsed its win total from a season ago and is poised to return to the Centennial Conference tournament after narrowly missing out last season.

All four of Haverford's losses this season have come to regionally ranked teams. The Fords have only dropped matchups with TCNJ (No. 3 East), Gettysburg (No. 2 Mid-Atlantic), Franklin & Marshall (No. 3 Mid-Atlantic and Washington College (No. 10 Mid-Atlantic).

Haverford will host Ursinus Saturday at noon on Senior Day at Swan Field.
