Women's Lacrosse 10th in Latest Mid-Atlantic Regional Rankings

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford women's lacrosse team (11-4, 4-3 CC) is slotted 10th in the latest Mid-Atlantic Regional women's lacrosse rankings. The second weekly rankings, which were released on Wednesday, reflect games played through Sunday, April 22.

These rankings include the top 15 percent of eligible teams in each region. The rankings ultimately lead up to the selection of at-large bids to the NCAA Tournament. A third ranking will be issued on Wednesday, May 2. The fourth and final rankings are then slated to be compiled on Sunday, May 6 and released as part of the announcement of the 42-team tournament field that evening (9 p.m. ET, NCAA.com)

All four of Haverford's losses this season have come to currently nationally and regionally ranked teams. The Fords have only dropped matchups with TCNJ (No. 1 East), Gettysburg (No. 2 Mid-Atlantic), Franklin & Marshall (No. 3 Mid-Atlantic and Washington College (No. 9 Mid-Atlantic). 

Haverford wraps up the regular season Saturday with a trip to Hood Trophy rival Swarthmore. Game time is slated for noon.

The Fords have secured the fourth seed in the Centennial Conference tournament and will host fifth-seeded Dickinson at Swan Field Wednesday, May 2. Game time is to be determined. Haverford has now qualified for the Centennial Conference tournament for the third time in four seasons and the sixth time in the last nine seasons.
