Full All-CC Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's lacrosse team is represented by four members on the All-Centennial Conference teams, the conference office announced in a release on Wednesday afternoon. Sophomore Anna Meyers was named to First-team All-Centennial honors while junior attackers Allie Gibbons and Rina Rosnow were both tabbed to the second team. Senior defender Alyssa Sherman was designated an honorable mention by a vote of the conference's head coaches. Senior goalkeeper Rachel Romens was also named to the conference's All-Sportsmanship team.

Meyers was named to the All-CC first team after a season in which she led the Fords in ground balls (37) and draw controls (53). Meyers was fifth in the conference in ground balls and was the conference's ninth-most prolific player in the draw circle. The Hopewell Junction, N.Y. product also caused 21 turnovers, good for third on the Haverford squad.

In the Centennial Conference first round game against Dickinson, Meyers posted new career single-game highs in draw controls, ground balls and caused turnovers. Meyers' 53 draw controls in 2018 are tied for the third-most in program history.

Gibbons picks up a second-straight Second-team All-CC selection after a standout offensive campaign in her junior year. The Baltimore native tallied 56 points and registered 38 goals while chipping in 18 assists. Gibbons appeared in all 17 contests for Haverford. She ranked within the top 15 in the Centennial in points, goals and assists while also pacing the conference's attackers with 21 caused turnovers this season. At the end of her third year on campus, Gibbons ranks 15th in Haverford history in goals with 109 and 18th in points with 143.

Rosnow had a triumphant return to form after missing last season due to injury. The Kirkland, Wash. product was fifth in the Centennial Conference with 48 goals and third in conference games with 27 tallies. As the focal scoring option for head coach Katie Zichelli, Rosnow tallied multiple goals in 12 games, including five-goal performances against Cabrini (Mar. 10) and Dickinson (Apr. 7). A proven clutch performer, Rosnow had three game-winning goals in 2018. In just 32 career games, Rosnow has amassed 65 goals and 71 points.

Sherman takes home All-CC recognition for the first time in her senior campaign. The co-captain anchored one of the top defenses in the Centennial Conference as Haverford caused a conference-best 205 turnovers, 24 more than second place Washington College. Individually, Sherman was third in the conference with 25 caused turnovers and 14th with 29 ground balls. The Belmont, Calif. product matched a career-best with four caused turnovers on three occasions.

Romens, from Verona, Wis., won 10 games between the pipes this season and leaves the program in sixth place all-time in saves per game (4.70). Romens notched a career-high 11 saves on two occasions this season, including against rival Swarthmore on April 28.

Haverford reached the Centennial Conference postseason for the sixth time in the last nine seasons and posted a 12-5 overall record. The Fords won six-straight contests from March 4-28 and were ranked No. 25 in the IWLCA National Coaches Poll for two consecutive weeks in late April.
