HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford College women's lacrosse junior attacker Allie Gibbons has been named the Centennial Conference Women's Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the Centennial Conference announced in its spring academic release on Thursday afternoon.

The Centennial Conference awards Scholar-Athlete of the Year recognition in each of its 24 championship sports. The award is presented to a junior or senior member of the All-Conference team with the highest cumulative grade point average.

Gibbons picked up a second-straight second-team All-Centennial selection after a standout offensive campaign in her junior year. The Baltimore native and Psychology major tallied 56 points and registered 38 goals while chipping in 18 assists. Gibbons appeared in all 17 contests for Haverford. She ranked within the top 15 in the Centennial in points, goals and assists while also pacing the conference's attackers with 21 caused turnovers this season. At the end of her third year on campus, she ranks 15th in Haverford history in goals with 109 and 18th in points with 143.

Last season, Gibbons was named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area team in addition to All-Conference second team and All-Region second team honors. Gibbons and the Fords will now await the release of the 2018 Philadelphia Inquirer academic honors, expected to be released later this month.
