HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford junior defender Anna Meyers has been named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced in a release on Monday afternoon.

Meyers, a reigning first-team All-Centennial Conference selection and a second-team IWLCA All-Metro Region pick, notched a career-best five caused turnovers in the 14-9 Haverford victory over McDaniel on Saturday. The five caused turnovers tied for the second-best single-game output in program history.  Meyers added three ground balls and two draw controls in a well-rounded performance to pick up her first career weekly honor from the conference.

Meyers, of Hopewell Junction, N.Y., is currently tied for second in the Centennial Conference with 19 caused turnovers. So far this season, Meyers has recorded four games with three or more caused turnovers. She also set a new career-high with seven ground balls against Cabrini on March 9.

The 23rd-ranked Fords now returns to action on Saturday against No. 6 Franklin & Marshall. Opening draw is slated for noon in Lancaster, Pa.
