HAVERFORD, Pa.- The Haverford College women's lacrosse team has unveiled their schedule for the 2024 season. Following a Centennial Conference Semifinal exit in 2023, the Fords look to have their sights set on making the Centennial Conference Tournament for the fifth consecutive season. On the sidelines for the Scarlet and Black will be Katie Wertman, who will be entering her seventh season as head coach.

Haverford will kick-off the 2024 season on the road, taking on non-conference foe Cabrini for the final time on February 21.Following the clash with the Cavaliers, the Fords return home to Swan Field for the home-opener against the Widener Pride (February 20), before hitting the road once again to lock horns with the Royals of Scranton (March 2). 

After a home contest against York on March 6, the Scarlet and Black head to the U.S. Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. to battle with the Eagles of Mary Washington in a neutral site showdown on March 10.

The Fords will then continue to navigate a busy March schedule with two non-conference road matchups over spring break, heading to Virginia for matchups with Shenandoah (March 14) and Christopher Newport (March 16).

A week later, Haverford opens up the Centennial Conference portion of their schedule with a home-game against Dickinson on March 23. The matchup will serve as the annual Play with Pride Game. 

Following the Red Devils,  it's up to Allentown, as the Scarlet and Black close out the month of March at Muhlenberg to take on the Mules on March 30. 

The first night game under the lights of Swan Field begins the month of April, as Washington College rolls into town to challenge the Fords on April 3.  After that, Haverford begins a two game road swing against Centennial Conference opponents McDaniel (April 6) and Gettysburg (April 13). 

Following a pair of games away from home, the Fords return to beautiful Swan Field for a two game homestand welcoming Ursinus (April 17) for another evening contest, before locking horns with Franklin & Marshall on April 20. The rematch of the 2023 Centennial Conference Semifinal game will also serve as Senior Day for Haverford.

The Scarlet and Black will close out the regular season with two games in four days, traveling to Bryn Mawr to challenge the Owls on April 24, before battling with Swarthmore on the road for a vital Hood Trophy point on April 27. 

After completing the treacherous 16-game 2024 schedule, the Fords will look to enter the Centennial Conference Championship Tournament for the seventh time since 2014. The Centennial Conference First Round matchups will commence on May 1, while the semifinals and finals are slated for May 3 and 5.
