Jacqueline McDevitt Named Women's Lacrosse Assistant Coach

HAVERFORD, Pa. -  Haverford College Director of Athletics Danielle Lynch has announced the hiring of Jacqueline McDevitt as a full-time assistant coach for the women's lacrosse program. McDevitt began her duties on February 1.

McDevitt brings an extensive array of lacrosse coaching experience to the program, as she most recently served as Head Women's Lacrosse Coach for Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon during the 2017 and 2018 seasons. During her tenure with the Boxers, McDevitt was responsible for all aspects of the program and coached four All-Northwest Conference selections in each season, in addition to an IWLCA All-Region defender. 

Prior to Pacific, spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Bryn Athyn College, helping to start a new program for the Lions. Prior to that, she was an assistant coach at Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference institution Caldwell University, where she was part of the inaugural year of the program in 2014. McDevitt got her first head coaching experience for two years, serving as the head coach of Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio. With an eight-win improvement in her first season, she was selected as the North Coast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.

Before Oberlin, McDevitt helped launch the program at Occidental College in Los Angeles, Calif., reached the NCAA Sweet 16 with Union College in Schenectady, N.Y. and worked with NCAA Division I member, Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. McDevitt has gained significant experience in coaching and working for the Ultimate Lacrosse Club and Midwestern Force Lacrosse Club.

The West Deptford, N.J. native is a graduate of NCAA Division I member Long Island University, where she was a Northeast Conference Academic Honor Roll recipient for three years. She earned a dual bachelor's degree in management and marketing from Long Island University. McDevitt resides in Blue Bell, Pa. with her wife, Colleen, and daughter Kayslee Mae.
